Proceeding from part 3, now checking the final status of our water crisis resolution project.
The visualization here is based on building a public dashboard. Our mission is to communicate with transparency: Where did the money go? We tracked the total budget against project completion, monitored teams’ performance, and compared budgeted versus actual costs to flag potential corruption, promoting transparency and accountability in addressing Maji Ndogo’s water crisis.

Our Success stories highlighted below:

-Now we have 100% of the population provided with basic access to water

-Shared and broken taps have been repaired across Maji Ndogo.
New wells were built and pollution from existing ones were treated.

-Crime cases have totally declined because people no longer have to queue at the public water sources and do not have to be there at night as they used to be

-We tracked the different vendor costs and their improvements respectively, across Maji Ndogo.
We were also able to determine more affordable vendors and deploy them more than the expensive ones.

We were finally able to achieve the end goal of this project: to make clean water accessible in Maji Ndogo, eliminate gender inequalities, eradicate crimes at water sources (most especially against women and children), and fix poor infrastructure.

In conclusion, it is amazing that all of these insights are hidden in the data and this approach exemplifies the power of data in revealing and resolving underlying societal issues.
